Alberta Mae Jakee, caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on January 7th 2022, at the age of 82 while at home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her brothers Elwood (April) Soper and John (Cheryl) Soper, children Audrey (Greg) Landsfeld, Deb (Howard) Ferguson, Penny Jakee, Mark Jakee and daughter in law Charlene Soper. 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She also had many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was proceeded in death by her sister Dolly Guest; along with brothers Calvin Soper, William Soper, and James Soper. Also proceeding her in death were her son Kenneth Soper and great grandson Hayden Nowicki.

Alberta loved spending time in the kitchen baking goodies for her family. She had a yearly tradition of making dozens of cookies and treats to pass out to all her family and friend for the holidays. Crocheting was one of her favorite things to do; she made dozens of table cloths and baby blankets through the years. Reading, crafting, watching old westerns and listening to classic country music were other things she filled her time with. She also attended church services at Many Rivers Church in Kalkaska as often as she could.

Anyone who knew Alberta, knew that family was the center of her world. She was the glue that held us all together. Taking care of her family and spending time with them is what brought her the most joy in life. She will be dearly missed by all but we take comfort in the fact that she is healthy and whole again, rejoicing in heaven.

We would like to sincerely thank her care team from ProMedica Hospice. They were all amazing while guiding us through this final journey.
