Angela Marie Jackson (Magee), 38, of Traverse City died Friday, February 17, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1984 in Traverse City, Michigan to Duane and Rita Magee (Leatherman). Angela was the sixth of nine children.

On August 4th, 2007, she married the love of her life, Michael DeWayne Jackson and together raised their four children, Michael Jr, Jasmine, Kobe, Tiana, and stepson, Allante. She spent most of her working career between hotel housekeeping and being a stay-at-home mother with her children.

Loved in life, missed in death, her love for the outdoors took her on many adventures with her family. From hunting and fishing with her husband Michael, to beach days and hikes to Lake Michigan with the children. Most knew she had a passion for animals, especially the love she had for horses since she was a young girl. Her favorite vacations growing up were the family vacations camping in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Angela truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; talking with friends and family, always there to listen when someone was in need, and often expressed to everyone her deepest love for her husband and children.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Michael D. Jackson; her four children and stepchild, Michael Jr., Jasmine, Kobe, Tiana, and Allante; grandchildren, Nayomi, Khaliea, Daylen, and Bentley; brothers and sisters, Lynnette (Robert), Annette (Lee), Duane (Samantha), Rachel (Jeremy), Kenneth, Jennifer, Stanley and Scott; sisters-in-law, Audrey, and Chandra (Matt); along with a host of nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Rita Magee (Leatherman) and brother-in-law, Rickie Jackson and sister-in-law, Valerie Jackson.

“You gave no one a last farewell, nor ever said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. A million times we will miss you, a million times we will cry. If love alone can save you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one else can fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home. We will meet again someday, I know in a better place. I thank God he made you our family, while you were here on Earth.”

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation, the many comforting messages, floral tributes, prayers and many other expressions of kindness and concern evidenced at the time in thought and deed.

A Celebration of life will be held 1pm, Friday, March 3, 2023 at Life Story Funeral Home. The family will greet friends starting at 12 noon. Please share your thoughts and more.

May God Bless Each One of You
