Is with loving sadness we announce the passing of Dana Jean Noordhof. Dana left us unexpectedly yet peacefully, at home in her sleep in the early morning hours of September 18th 2022 She was 77 years old. Dana was born in Grayling, Michigan to George and Gertrude "Jean" Dulaney on August 6th 1945. She attended Ravenna High School, and was an active member of the choir and the Glee club She was recognized for her beautiful singing voice as well as her work in the library. She in graduated with honors in music appreciation and Library science. Dana has been a lifelong resident of Michigan with family ties to Muskegon, Kalkaska, and settled in the Traverse City area about 45 years ago. She will be remembered as a well-respected and admired adult foster care home owner and operator for nearly 30 years. She was a caring and trusted provider adored by her residents. Their families never had to worry about loved ones when they were in her care. She was a phenomenal cook and she welcomed anyone to come and enjoy her holiday meals. She loved Christmas and no one felt left out at her house, you are always going to get full with something delicious and she would decorate with all the trimmings so it was impossible to walk out of there and not have felt some kind of Christmas cheer. She bought gifts that were thoughtful and personal for her friends and family. She was one who remembered birthdays and special occasions. After retiring she remained the star cook of the community meals and potluck dinners and her participation was highly anticipated by all. It wasn't uncommon for her to help a stranger or a neighbor if she was able to with a few dollars or some groceries. Dana loved animals and she took impeccable care of her pets she couldn't bare to see an animal neglected or abused and frequently donated to the ASPCA, various animal welfare organizations and locally the Cherryland Humane Society.

When people die most generally they never know the impact that they've had on this world, when Dana passed there were no headlines, the world didn't stop spinning, heart of the world never skipped a beat, But the impact her life had on this world will be forever felt by those who loved her. For them, the world will never feel the same without her here. Dana you will always live in our hearts wrapped in fond memories and love, till we meet again. We love you and miss you so very much.

Dana was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband Ira "Jay" Noodhof.
