David Paul Bellemore passed away peacefully at the age of 68, on September 28th, 2022 at Munson Medical Center.

He is survived by his lifelong partner and love of his life Kathy Jo Bellemore; daughter, Lena Mae Bellemore; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph William Bellemore and Joelle Jean Bellemore; and grandchildren, Thomas William Black, Cameron Rain Black, and William James Bellemore; and many brothers, sisters, and cousins.

He was preceded by his brothers, Frank Genaw and Timothy Bellemore; father, Frederick Joseph Bellemore; mother, Lena Elmyra Genaw, and birth mother, Edna Marie Tessier.

David was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on March 23rd, 1954 to Frederick Joseph Bellemore and birth mother Edna Marie Tessier. He was raised by his Mother, Lena Elmyra Genaw in Detroit, Michigan.

David lived a rich life filled with incredible stories, loved with his whole heart, and had a deep love and respect for God. He loved to hunt, fish, and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved traveling with his family.

He was proud to be a truck driver, worked at Mitchell Corporation, and grounds and vehicles with Munson Medical Center. Educational accomplishments included graduating from Ecorse High in 1972 and earning an Associates Degree from Northwestern Michigan College in 1989.

David always had a smile and a laugh or dad joke for whoever he was around. He was loved deeply and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

An informal gathering will start at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Life Story Funeral Home with a celebration of life at 11:30 am. Burial will take place at 1:30 pm at the Thompsonville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, David’s last wish was to have any memorial contributions made to the grandkids education fund. Contact his daughter Lena Bellemore for details.
