Dennis A Durga, age 61, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020. Adoring son of George ‘Bud’ and Rose (Manville) McQueer, born in Traverse City May 15, 1959.

Dennis joined the Army in 1976 where he became a certified mechanic to wheeled and track military vehicles and power generators. Following the military, he started his 43-year journey as a truck driver, hauling every type of freight possible from coast to coast. He lived a life that he loved, being free on the open road.

Dennis was a loving father, grandfather, a compassionate brother and son. He was the favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews. He loved everyone and would give anything he could to those who needed help. He had a personality that would light up a room. He lived his life to put a smile on people’s faces and got great joy from providing happiness for others.

Dennis is survived by his two children, Nathan (Katie) Durga and Erica (Michael) Wilson; his four grandchildren, Heaven, Madison, Calvin, and Noah; his seven siblings, Dan Durga, Shelley (Norm) Potvin, Dale (Teda) Durga, Sheryl (Mark) Potvin, Sue Kantz, Dave McQueer, Kim (Chris) Dotson, along with several nieces and nephews.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose McQueer; uncle, Don McQueer and stepbrothers, Kevin McQueer and George McQueer.
