Dorothy Marie Tobin, 88, of Honor, died Monday, September 27, 2021.

She was born on January 28, 1933 in Everett, Massachusetts the daughter of John and Mary Martell

Dorothy worked for many years at Joe’s Friendly Tavern and restaurants in Glen Arbor. She Modeled for Joyce of Leland.

She was a member at St. Philip Neri Church in Empire.

Dorothy was well known for and loved being very Naughty! She was always telling dirty jokes. Dorothy loved her flower arrangements, baking and also was known for her two handed Cookies; especially her inappropriate features on her Gingerbread Cookies. She enjoyed riding the Horse, Sandy at Meijer’s, even into her 80’s.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Judy (Leonard) Emert; grandchildren, her special granddaughter, Shanon (Dan) McGoran, Dustin (Rabbit) Jones, Kyle (Katie) Emert, Chad Emert other grandchildren, her special great-grandchildren, Aislin and Ashton were her everything and other great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Francis Tobin; daughter, Donna Perry; son, John Tobin and grandson, Clint Emert.

Memorials may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Empire Museum.

An informal gathering and reception will be held from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Life Story Funeral Home. A brief sharing of stories will be held at 4pm.

Burial will take place 10 am, Monday, October 4, 2021 at Platte Township Cemetery, Honor. Friends are welcome for the burial.
