Douglas Arnold DeGraw, age 76, of Kingsley, died July 14, 2021. He was born on October 30, 1944 in Traverse City the son of Maurice Sheridan and Jarda Marjorie (Whitman) DeGraw.

He graduated from Jackson High School class of 1962.

Douglas married Nancy Ann Vining November 22, 1969 in Jackson Michigan. Douglas and his family moved back permanently to Traverse City in 1978.

He was a well rounded business man, owning multiple businesses including One Man and a Van in Traverse City. Douglas was a 1st Degree Mason.

Douglas loved buying tractors and working on them and was a collector of many things. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved going to garage sales. Douglas loved watching his grandchildren grow and hearing about their latest achievements.

He loved his dogs, Tootsie; Binki; and Bailey.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Nancy DeGraw; daughters, Kristi (Duane) Gilland of Traverse City, Kim (Claude) Ockert of Kingsley; grandchildren, Sarah, Claude N., Jacob (Jessica Freeman), and Clay and sister, Leslie Brierly of Springfield, Missouri.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Jarda Marjorie (Whitman) DeGraw; and daughter, Vickie Blake.

An informal gathering will be held 3pm to 6pm, Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Life Story Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Douglas's honor to Munson Hospice House.
