Gayle Arlene Kunkel, 71, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 6, 2021.

She was born June 13, 1949 in Toledo Ohio to Gale and Evelyn (Moats) Lindhorst.

Gayle attended Whitmer High School class of 1967 and later received her Associates Degree from Washtenaw Community College.

Gayle worked as a Call Center Manager for ADP Network Services, Max and Erma's and Kohl's.

Her hobbies included board games and card games, especially Euchre. She also liked Woodscapes Artwork, Webkinz, Crafting, EBay and Garage Saling for Vintage Toys. She dreamed of hitting the jackpot.

She enjoyed singing especially to the oldies, traveling to Florida to see family, girl’s weekends, family holiday parties, chicken and dumplings from Cracker Barrel, Sudoku and puzzles, lighthouses and interacting with the grandkids.

Gayle is survived by husband, Thomas, they were married on April 15, 1988; her children, Ronald Batdorf, Thomas (Dawn) Batdorf, Beth (Richard) Russo and Lyndsay (Kipp) Kunkel; grandchildren, Nicholas, Chad, Aaron, Allison, and Isaac; sister and best friend, Diane "Dee Dee" (Randy) Gross; brothers, Dale (Rebecca) Lindhorst, Darrel (Luann) Lindhorst, Robert (Teri) Lindhorst and William Lindhorst and loyal companion, Cody.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandchild Vanessa Russo.

Private family services will be held.
