Brenda Lynn Gerber, 70, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully at Cherry Hill Haven Assisted Living on Friday, April 3, 2020.

Brenda was born September 12th, 1949 in Traverse City. She is the daughter of Chester and Jean (Mackey) Dalrymple. She graduated from Traverse City High School in 1967. Upon graduation, she joined the United States Marine Corps. She was stationed on Paris Island, South Carolina. After boot camp she went to Communications School. After school she was stationed in Albany, Georgia until she was honorable discharged.

Later on, Brenda went to Central Michigan University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. A few years later in the summer of 1987, she married Neil Gerber. They enjoyed many years together traveling and seeing the country. Her husband Neil preceded her in death in May 2018.

Brenda was a genius with Computers. She taught at the ISD building in Escanaba and later in Hannahville until she retired in 2012. She was an absolutely wonderful person who loved the outdoors, loved animals and enjoyed her Arts and Crafts. She loved listening to 60’s and 70’s music and was always the best dancer around. She will be sadly missed by all of her friends and family. But the one who will miss her the most is her only child, Steve Seaburg Jr.
