Gloria Ann Compton, 79 of Cedar, died Monday, August 31, 2020.
She was born on June 2, 1941 in Traverse City the daughter of Matthew and Anna (Winowiecki) Snyder.
Gloria married Allen Compton on April 1, 1960.
Gloria worked at Munson Medical Center in Housekeeping.
Gloria loved her dog, Thissell and Jerome’s dogs, Zoey and Mitzy, which she called her girls. She also loved nature and flowers.
Gloria is survived by her sons, Rodney Compton, Scott Compton; daughter, Tina King; grandsons, Jason King and Justin King; four great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Geneva) Snyder, Dwane (Marsha) Snyder and Jerome Snyder.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Allen Compton.
A special thank you to the Hospice of Michigan ladies; very helpful!
A memorial Mass will be held 11 am, Friday, September 11, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; where the family will greet friends starting at 10 am. The church policy requires masks over the nose while in the church and social distancing.
