Jennie M. Mallory, 94, of Kalkaska, peacefully passed away in her sleep, Thursday, March 10, 2022.

She was the seventh of ten children born to John and Nellie (Klimek) Jessick on August 8, 1927 in Cross Village, Michigan. After graduation from Petoskey High School, she married, Phillip Mallory of Marshall on October 23, 1948 in Battle Creek, who preceded her in death.

Living most of her life in Battle Creek, she moved to Kalkaska in 2016 to be closer to her children. Jennie attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle Creek and St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska.

Jennie enjoyed traveling, cross stitch, bingo and playing her organ. She enjoyed time at “The Cabin” in Gaylord, birdwatching and the sounds of Loons on the Lake.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Charlotte) Mallory of Kalkaska; daughter, Michele Dansingburg of Traverse City; grandchildren, Angela Mallory of Kalkaska, Pamela Mallory of Spring TX, Paul (Katie) Mallory of Charleston SC; Danielle (Jordan) Sales of Montrose CO, Mallory Voorheis of Traverse City; 8 great grandchildren, Hannah, Rose, Ella, George, Oscar, Gus, Henley and Ida; brother, Louis Jessick of Harbor Springs, sister, Mary Houston of San Diego CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both her parents; brothers, John Jr, Edward, Stanley, William and Frank; sisters, Hattie Bork, Stella Gros; son-in-law, Terry Dansingburg and special friend, Dale Leatherman.

Services will be held 1pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in the Chapel at Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery. Interment will be in the outside Crypt of the Mausoleum.
