Jerry Leroy Conquest born on February 10, 1954, in Flint, MI, decided it was time to hang up his boots on February 3rd, surrounded by the love and chaos of his beloved wife, Cindy, and his stepchildren Jennifer, Steven, and Christopher. It's safe to say, he was by more love than a man could ask for - even if he had a thing for letting the kids know they were being too wild and noisy.

Jerry, the proud son of Alice and Dale Conquest, was a man of many talents, including but not limited to: loving his family, growing an unmatched mustache, and showing an unshakeable commitment to anything with four legs, fur, and a wagging tail. He met Cindy in 1997, proving that true love doesn't care about time-it just shows up when it's ready to surprise you with joy and occasional "we're out of Coca-Cola" moments.

He was also a loving brother to Elizabeth (Robert) Ramsey and will forever be the brother who teased Wendell Conquest.

Not only will Jerry be remembered for his kind heart and unwavering strength, but also for his deep love for his four grandchildren-Wyatt, Harrison, Charles, and Harper—who had the ability to make him grin like a proud papa who was about to spoil them rotten. When it came to spoiling his grandkids, Jerry could be as sly as a fox, and they'll carry that wisdom forever.

Jerry may have passed on to the great beyond, but his memory will live on. His jokes, his love for his family, and his unmatched ability to bond with any animal (even if they were a little questionable in the loyalty department) will stay with those who loved him.

We'll miss his warmth, his strength, and, let's face it his questionable fashion choices-but mostly, we'll miss his heart. And yes, Jerry, you were right we will get around to that project someday.

Rest easy, Jerry. And remember, there's always a dog (or four) waiting for you on the other side.

An informal gathering will take place from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Life Story Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 14, 2025, at the funeral home.
