Judith Dwyer

Judith Ilene Dwyer, 81, of Traverse City died on Sunday, September 25, 2022. She was born July 5, 1941, in Detroit, the daughter of William and Lottie (Zych) Rybarz.

Judith was born and raised in Detroit. She graduated from Denby High School in 1959 and immediately started working at General Motors as a secretary. She left General Motors after the birth of her daughter and spent her time as a homemaker. Judith and her daughter relocated to Traverse City in the early 1990’s. She worked at Meijer in the bakery until making a career change to the Dietary Department at Munson Medical Center until her retirement.

After retirement, she spent her days with her grandchildren. Her family was her life, she adored them with every fiber of her being. Judith also enjoyed going rock hunting.

Judith is survived by her daughter; Holly (John) VanWormer, grandchildren; Devin, Chance, Emma, and Charlotte, sisters; Carole Kremkow, Kathleen (Bruce Gillett) Rybarz, and Lorraine (Sam) Carlin, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Traverse City.

Private services will be held at a later date.
