Karen Jane Elliott 72 of Fife Lake (formerly of Manton) passed away peacefully Thursday, February 14, 2013 with her Husband of 51 years by her side.

She was born in Cadillac on January 21, 1941 to Emil and Mildred (Mowrey) Batt.

Karen married Robert James Elliott on June 3, 1961 in Manton.

She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, shopping, gardening, golfing and going to the casino. Karen loved to entertain and have family gatherings, She loved her home and was a wonderful cook and gracious hostess..

Karen is survived by her husband, Robert J. Elliott of Fife Lake; children, Lauri Elliott, Lisa Elliott Lautner and Eric Elliott all of Traverse City; grandchildren, Brandon Wiersma , Jessica Wiersma, Michael Davis and Tyler Lautner; siblings, Vera Dalquist of Cadillac, Nadine (Ted) Penny of Manton and twin sister, Sharon (Robert) Harris of Texas and brother, Larry Batt of Alaska and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Emil and Mildred and brother Donny Batt and a sister, Virginia Dontjie. , Brothers-in -Law Grover Dontjie, Kieth Dalquist, Lester Bouwma and nephew Kirk Dontjie.

Karen was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 11am, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Fairview Cemetery, Manton. A luncheon will follow at the Liberty Township Hall.
