Katherine Hoxie

Our precious mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Katherine L. Hoxie, passed from this life January 14, 2018, after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. She was born in Kingsley April 18, 1928. On June 16, 1950, Katherine Riley married Eugene Lawton Hoxie in Traverse City. They resided in the house Gene built for many years, raising their four children. They later bought an eighty acre farm in Kingsley where they lived the remainder of their lives, adding eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Gene passed from this life in 2013.

Those who knew and loved Katherine admired her wit, strength and endless family love. Her passing has created an enormous void in our lives.

Surviving Katherine, other than her immediate family, are several relatives and friends, including her dear sisters, Lucille E. Lewis and Elsie M. Larcom and treasured nieces, Kathleen Cherry and Yvonne Kaehler.
