Lorraine Miner 72 of Traverse City passed away at her home Sunday July 14, 2019 after an extended illness. She was born September 6, 1946 to Alfred J. Harrand and Ethel (Houghton) Harrand. In 1984, she married her late husband Rick Miner Sr.

Lorraine was a talented cake decorator and many enjoyed her creations. Lorraine worked at decorating cakes at Chef Pierre and then at Prevos for many years.

Lorraine was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s Hannah Catholic Church. She was a member of their Alter Society and the Men’s & Woman’s club. She spent many hours volunteering for her parish fundraisers and get-togethers.

Lorraine will be remembered for her faithful ever-loving heart, her commitment to family and friends, and for the delicious cakes and rolls she baked for birthdays and community events.

Lorraine will be greatly missed by her loving family including her sisters, Barb (Rodney) Bogart and Rita (Dan) Schneider. Her step-son Rick Miner Jr. Her beloved nieces and nephews , Gabe (Mary) Bogart, Jake (JoAnne) Bogart, Katie (Josh) Rothwell, Abby (Chris) Schneider, Becky (Ryan) Major and Amy (Justin) Gil, and many great, and great great nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be at St Mary’s Hannah Church Friday July 19 from 7:00 – 8:00 PM and at 10:00 AM on Saturday July 20, with the funeral at 11:00 AM with interment following in the church’s cemetery. There will be a luncheon served in the school following the service.
