Marianne (DeVincent) Smith

Marianne Smith (DeVincent) (Galligan), 90, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. She was born on June 1, 1932, the daughter of Joseph and Searphine (Burnett) Galligan.

Marianne enjoyed crocheting and playing dominoes.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffery M. DeVincent and Kevin M. DeVincent; daughter, Cathy Malone (Smith); grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Marianne was predeceased by her parents; spouse, Lyle A. Smith; her son, Daniel J. DeVincent; her daughter, Lisa S. Brown (DeVincent); grandson Shawn A. DeVincent and 2 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to be made to Cherryland Humane Society in Traverse City.

An informal Memorial Celebration of Life will take place 2pm to 4pm, Friday, September 2, 2022 at East Bay Calvary Church, 2225 E. Hammond Rd. Traverse City.
