Ronald Earl Clinton

June 14, 1932 – June 24, 2026

Ronald Earl Clinton went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 24, 2026 at the age of 94.

Ron was born on June 14, 1932 and was the son of Earl and Dorothy Clinton. He graduated from Traverse City High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954.

He and his Dad owned Clinton Office Equipment for many years. Later on, he was a school bus driver for TCAPS until retirement.

Ron was a devoted husband of nearly 70 years to his wife Barbara.

He was known as a very kind, gentle, patient, faithful and respectful man whose greatest joy was his family. He loved to play the piano, cross country ski, snowmobile, deer hunt and maintain his lawn. He was also a fan of the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan football.

He enjoyed God’s gift of good health and at 89 years old, he was still shoveling snow from the roof of his house.

Ron is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Jennifer (Rev. Daniel) Henke, and Kathleen (David) Murdock; grandchildren, Eric Henke, Joel Henke, Kate (Nick) Keller and Jill Murdock. He is also survived by his brothers, Rev. Daniel (Elizabeth) Clinton and David (Jan) Clinton.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marilyn DeFer.

A private family celebration of Ron’s life is planned.
