Roy Edward Nagy

Roy Edward Nagy, 78 of Traverse City died unexpectedly at his home on July 29, 2019. Roy was born to John and Olga (Torok) Nagy on April 14, 1941 in Detroit, MI. He enlisted in the U.S. Army soon after graduating from High School where he served his 4 years of service in Korea in the Military Police unit.

Upon returning home Roy married Beverly Bushey on June 25, 1963 making their home in Allen Park, MI., and raising four children, Jacqueline Marie, Timothy, Kevin and Jeffrey. Roy worked as a pipefitter and belonged to the Union 636 of Detroit until his retirement. He also was a member of the Allen Park Jaycees and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. Roy enjoyed playing Euchre with his daughter Jacqueline Marie, working in his garden and spending time with all of his children and his grandson.

Roy is survived by his children, Jacqueline Marie Nagy of Traverse City, Timothy Nagy of the State of Washington, Kevin and Jeffrey Nagy of Traverse City, Grandson Matthew Nagy also of Traverse City.

He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, brothers; Robert and Richard Nagy, sisters; Dorothy Nagy Papp and Mary Pepke.
