Sandra Grunwaldt

Sandra “Sandy” Lee Grunwaldt, of Traverse City, died on Friday, July 31, 2026. She was born in Plymouth, Indiana, on July 8, 1960, to Frederick Dean and Roseanna Irene (Flynn) Woods.

Sandy married Manfred Grunwaldt on September 18, 2004, in Leelanau County.

She worked as a cashier and at the courtesy desk for Walmart.

Sandy enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, and jewelry. Her interests included real crime shows and cooking shows.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Manfred Grunwaldt Jr.; daughter, Jamie M. Cousert; son, Joshua M. Cousert; and granddaughter, Chloe G. Witowski.

She was preceded in death by family members, her mother, Roseanna Woods; father-in-law, Manfred Grunwaldt Sr.; mother-in-law, Marga Grunwaldt; and brother, Howard Woods.

A celebration of life will be held in the future.
