Sharon Lee Shink, 87, of Traverse City, Michigan, died Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was born on June 25, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur George and Mary Jane Florkey (Woodhead).
She graduated from Edwin Denby High School class of 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. She had a close group of girl friends and was popular amongst all. While in school she worked at Awrey Bakery where she and her coworkers received the nickname, “Bunn Slingers”.
Sharon was an amazing big sister and a positive role model.
Sharon was an avid reader, she loved to sing and dance, she enjoyed working on arts and crafts, she also loved playing bingo at Joy Givers Senior Home. Sharon loved being outside and feeling the sun on her face.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Mark) Stebbins, Shelly (Bill) Robinson, Kelly (Chip) Rupp, and Lynn (Louie) Stapels; her son, George Shink; sisters, Sandy Trombley and Sue (Paul) Ellis; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, George Shink Sr.; daughter, Kimberly and grandchildren, Elisha and Tyson.

An informal visitation and food reception will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Life Story Funeral Home. A celebration of life ceremony will start at 12:00 noon.
