Stanley Gravis, 80 years old, passed away on May 8, 2021 surrounded by his family. Stan was born to Stanley and Bernice Gravis in Midland, Mi on January 28, 1941.

Stan graduated in 1958 from Midland High School.

He married Sandra K. Krenselewski on July 24,1965 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Midland, Mi. Together they have one son Stefan S. Gravis. They moved to Traverse City in 1976 and in 1978 they opened East Bay Auto Parts on 4 mile Rd. The business moved in 1990 to Interlochen where it is today.

Known to many as "Stan the Man" he went from building houses to fixing most anything. Stan was an avid boater and was one of the first recreational boaters to go down the Tennessee Tombigbee waterway to Florida after it was built in 1984.

He also enjoyed his motor home and traveled many places including out west and Puerto Penasco, Mexico which was a favorite for many years. Stan was an avid game hunter traveling to Africa, the Arctic Circle, Newfoundland, and several times out West.

Stan enjoyed life and adventure. He was a very creative person.

He loved his family and always looked forward to his grandchildren's visits.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi & Son Stefan (Beverly) and 3 wonderful grandchildren - Allison, Sheldon and Carson, sisters, Agnes Bramlage of Saginaw, Patti (Don) Closs of Mission Viejo, Ca. and brother, Dennis (Anita) of Lakeland, Fl; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will have a memorial at a later date.
