Steven Curtis Raynes

Our bigger than life and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend left us suddenly on the 16th of September 2019.

Steven C Raynes was born on June 17, 1981 to the parents of Claudia and Steven A. Raynes Sr. in Grand Rapids, MI.

Steve is survived by his wife Kacey Raynes, two incredibly beautiful children; Hayden and Addaline, his mother Claudia Raynes, brothers Tyler (Karley) Wells, Shawn Raynes, sister Tracy (Jason) Vanleeuwen, nieces Aly and Madison Vanleeuwen and nephew Jorden Vanleeuwen.

Steve is preceded in death by his father Steven A Raynes.

How do you write such a heartbreaking obituary for a young, compassionate and loving man? Are there even words that can summarize the life of a man who was so important to those that he loved?

Steve had an unlimited passion and love for his wife and his children. Although he didn’t know one end of a hammer from the other, it will be stamped forever in our memory the times Steve shared his love of football (Go Blue) with his buddy/son Hayden as they threw the ball to each other and the bursting pride as he held his delightful daughter on the day of her birth. We are saddened for loss of future memories not made.

You are invited to come by and celebrate Steve’s love and compassionate spirit with those that he loved. A reminiscence of Steven’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 24th at Saylor Park - Pavilion 2 (Hwy 31 in Yuba) from 2-5pm with prayer at 2:30pm. Please wear Michigan and/or gym clothes in Steve’s honor.

Bring your favorite dish to pass if you feel compelled.
