SUSAN LANE HINES, 79, of Detroit, died Jan. 28. She counseled at Detroit recreation camps, taught physical education and was a guidance counselor in Detroit, and moved to Traverse City in 2015. She is predeceased by parents Garnet and Gertrude (Takala) Hines, and brother Randy. Susan is survived by many cousins and her adopted Traverse City family, Nicole and Ron Philibosian Gentry.
