Thomas Jay Blonshine Sr. 71 of Grawn, died Thursday, May 11, 2017.

He was born in Traverse City on January 6, 1946 the son of Frances Harrigan.

Tom was an amazing dad and husband who loved his family above all else. A carpenter by trade, he had the only green thumb in the family and enjoyed growing and sharing his plants with family and friends. Fishing and mushrooming gave him great pleasure.

Tom is survived by his wife, Carissa (Kerby) Blonshine; his children, Thomas Jay (Mary) Blonshine Jr., Greg , Annette, Debbie (Jim) Stagg, Gary, Amanda and Travis; brothers, Dick (Diane) Blonshine of Zephyrhills, Florida and Bob (Charlotte) Blonshine of Maple City, Mike (Debbie) Blonshine, Denny (Renee) Blonshine of Traverse City; mother-in-law, Laura Kerby; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Sharon Blonshine of Traverse City, John (Janet) Kerby of Connecticut, Connie Ferguson, Pat Kerby, Wade Kerby of Lake Ann, Bonny (John) Stinebaugh, Tim (Kathy) Kerby of Interlochen, Mike (Melissa) Kerby of Buckley, Laurie Kerby of Beulah; son-in-law James Wolfiss, many special grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Howard, Dale, Harold, Frederick and James Blonshine; sisters, Shirley and Mary Lou; infant daughter Marie; daughters Kellie, Shari.
