The world lost a fighter, Yolanda P. Bell passed away, June 13, 2020 with her family by her side. She was 96. She was the daughter of two young Hungarians who took the boat across the ocean to Ellis Island. Peter and Matilida (Haas) had three sons, and three daughters counting Yolanda.

In 1943 she married a World War II Soldier Martin E. Bell. Together for 50 years they had five children; The late Martin E. Bell and Carol, Cynthia and the late Richard Harner, the late Rodney Bell and Joan, Kathleen Hilton and the late Raymond Bell and Teri. Yolanda had fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, five generations plus her dog, Lucy, who she loved like a child.

Yolanda worked all her life, starting as a beautician, and then worked in an airplane Plant during WW II. Ford Motor Company, Hudson, Ace Hardware and retired from Wayne County General Hospital.

Martin and Yolanda brought a nice travel trailer and traveled to Florida buying a home, there, and then traveled to Prescott Valley, AZ where they lived until Martin passed away. She was a very active with the senior programs, being a champ in Wii Bowling.

Yolanda came back to Traverse City, MI near her daughter, Cynthia lived, and a son who lived in Westland, MI.

Yolanda was a fun loving person who loved life as it came. Yolanda will be truly missed.
