Anne Rene Ogburn

Anne Rene (Arbour) Ogburn age 67 passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on April 10th 2019 in Traverse City after suffering from respiratory illness.

She was born on April 3rd 1952 in Detroit Michigan to James Williams and Carol (Shier) Arbour.

Anne embraced an adventurous Spirit and love of Rock and Roll that lead her to the music scene in California during the late 60’s and 70’s eventually her heart lead her back to family and friends in Michigan, eventually settling In Traverse City where she worked at a treatment center helping many people with their recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Anne brought hope to the hopeless and had a way to reach people in a deep and positive way. In her spare time, Anne loved to paint, spend time outdoors and volunteer at the local animal rescue.

Anne adored her husband and family, she cherished her friends and her beloved pet’s, but most of all, she loved the Lord her God.

Anne is survived by her husband Walter; her brother William; sister’s, Michele Arbour; Monique (Bob) Abb; Jodie (Timothy) Brown and her many treasured nieces and nephews.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Carol Arbour and beloved sister Denise (Arbour) Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked to make Memorial Contributions to a SPCA, for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Anne’s Celebration of Life will be held 3pm to 5pm Sunday, April 28, 2019 at her home at 4600 N. Indian Lake Road, Traverse City, MI 49684. A service will be held at 4pm. Please carpool if possible. Please sign the guestbook and share your thoughts and memories with the family.
