Ashley Gaertner

Ashley Morgan Gaertner, 39, of Traverse City, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, March 3, 2023 due to cardiac arrest. Ashley loved impromptu dance parties and listening to oldies on the radio. She liked to collect stuffed animals, stickers, and crazy socks. She was a child at heart and deeply loved her family, especially her mom, dad, and brother, McKenzie. When Ashley asked how you were doing, she wanted the real story. She valued honesty and depth in conversation. Ashely noticed and appreciated beauty and kindness. Her contagious laugh could ignite a whole room with merriment and lightheartedness.

Ashley was preceded in death by her grandfather, HR Greilick. She is survived by her mother, Sharell (Bob) Burdick of Lake Ann, her father Richard (Elena) Gaertner of Colorado Springs, her grandmother, Patricia Greilick of Traverse City, and her siblings, McKenzie (Kristy) Tompkins of Interlochen and Meghan (Korvyn) Hansen of Traverse City. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that any donations be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society because Ashley loved animals.
