Audrey Waelchli

Audrey Marie Waelchli, 95 of Fife Lake, died Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Munson Hospice House.

She was born on May 13, 1925 in Hamtramck the daughter of Vernon and Eleanor (Drew) Olson.

Audrey worked at the Chrysler, Dodge Plant in Hamtramck; making airplane parts during World War II.

Audrey loved playing the card game, “Canasta and crossword puzzles.” She loved her home and just being at home. She helped build the log home she lives in and also spent a couple years peeling logs for all of her children’s homes. She like being outdoors working in her garden and raking leaves.

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Joann (Larry) Walls and Yvonne (David) Murner; grandchildren, Rene, Sherry, Mike and Patty; great-grandchildren, Shannon, Hannah, Haley, Taylor, Ellie, Matthew, Steven, Shane, Anna and Chancer; great-great-grandchildren, Cass, Mialee, Nakiah, Skylar and Jaxton; sister, Orella Buck and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Waelchli.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Eleanor (Drew) Olson; husband, John “Jack” Waelchli; son, John Waelchli; great-granddaughter, Christen Quintero and brother, Sonny Olson.
