Barbara Jean Davis

Barbara Jean Davis, 89 of Traverse City, died Saturday, November 15, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1936 at home in Elmwood Twp, Leelanau, Traverse City, Michigan the daughter of John James and Evelyn Ruth (Bohrer) Robinson.

Barbara graduated from Traverse City High School. She married Royal Orin Davis on June 12, 1955 and became a loving homemaker, wife and mother.

Barbara and Royal were happy being co-founders of Alpine Electric.

She enjoyed gardening, knitting, playing cards, bird watching, and spending time with her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara formerly attended West Bay Covenant Church.

She is survived by her children, Linda Heme, Gary Davis, Dan (Sandy) Davis and Mike Davis; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Mary) Robinson; sisters, Judy Bradford and Betty (Charles Alexander) DeMoulpied; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Don Lint.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Evelyn; husband, Royal; sisters, Sharon Johnson and Mary Lou Korbs and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glenn and Ruby Davis.

Private family services will be held. Barbara will be buried with her husband Royal at Grand Traverse Memorial Garden, Traverse City.
