Barbara Wollam

Barbara Jo Wollam passed away in her sleep April, 28th 2020 at the age of 70. Barb was born on July 31st, 1949 in Traverse City at James Decker Memorial Hospital to the late Joseph and Marjorie Wollam.

Barb loved growing up on Old Mission Peninsula. She especially loved riding her bike, riding horses and swimming at Hasrott beach. Barb graduated from Traverse City Senior High School in 1967.

Barb also enjoyed going for long walks, shopping for others and spending time with family and friends. She really liked going out to eat with her sister, Judy, sister-in-law Kathy and her special friends. Barb loved her job at GTI and all her friends that worked there.

Surviving Barb are her sister, Judy Decker of Empire; brother, Tom Wollam of Kingsley; sister in law, Kathy Wollam of Traverse City; niece, Holly Decker and her husband, Vic Lane and their two girls, Aeslyn (3) & Robin (11) Lane of Maple City and Nephew Toby Wollam of Traverse City.

Cremation has taken place per Barb’s wishes; a private family get together will be scheduled at a later date. The family would like to give a special Thanks to Sister-in-law, Kathy Wollam, Kelly Peirson, Lynn Troutman, Munson Hospice and the caregivers at the Villa at Traverse Point.
