Robert “Bob” Charles Kenney, age 77, of Williamsburg passed away peacefully on Monday April 4, 2022 at his home surrounded with family. Bob was born Jan 24, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan the 5th of 7 children to William and Corrine (Norman) Kenney.

Bob was drafted into the US Army and served his country stateside from 66’-68’ during the Vietnam War.

He met a young lady named Donna Wolhart at a dance in 1969 and they were smitten. On March 14, 1970 they united in marriage.

Bob then went to work for the Ford Motor Co. with a career that spanned 30 years. Following retirement, he and Donna moved to the area in 2003 settling into their home in Williamsburg.

Bob loved going to the movies with his sons to catch a good action/sci-fi movie. He enjoyed going out to eat accompanied by a good dark beer. Sundays he would go to Howell to his parents where he would help dad and play cards with the family. As a very giving person, he was always up for helping out with whoever had a need. Bob was a skilled tennis player and relished a good garage sale and the thrill of a good find especially when he went to auctions.

Bob is survived by his wife, Donna; his 2 sons, Robert (Stephanie Roberts) Kenney, and James (Charity) Kenney; 6 grandchildren, Lucas, Gaje, Leif, Noss, Song, and Tru; 3 siblings, Diane (Lou) Mayle, Mike (Sherry) Kenney and John (Kathie) Kenney; In-laws; Marilyn Olree, Arlene Fosmoen and Albert (Marilyn) Wohlart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters and 1 brother; Loretta Walker, and Sharon Amburgy and Bill Kenney

An informal gathering and food reception will take place Friday, April 8, 2022 from 1pm to 3pm with a Memorial service immediately following at 3pm. Interment will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Grawn. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
