Brian Laverne Wheeler, 62, of Kingsley, Michigan died March 3, 2025. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on November 18, 1962, to Dale and Ardis (Billings) Wheeler.

Brian graduated from Forest Area High School of Fife Lake, Michigan in 1981. He had many jobs in his life, but he was most proud of a select few including but not limited to the following: Tower Automotive where he spent 15 years, the Oil Fields as a Heavy Equipment Operator where he also held other roles and performed many other duties, and KB Water Hauling in South Boardman, Michigan as a Pump Truck Operator since April of 2017.

Brian was a devoted husband, father, papa, brother, and friend. During his down time he enjoyed many things, especially walleye and salmon fishing, hunting, and golf; so much so that his friends called him “Fuzzy” after Fuzzy Zoeller. Family and friends also know him as “Big Wheels”. Brian loved playing cards but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sheila (Newell) Wheeler, whom he married on February 14, 1996, in Traverse City, Michigan; daughters, Natasha Wheeler, Alisha (David) Coleman, Kayla (Rudy) Sapin, Leslie (Jordan) Arlt, Breann (Gary) Kern, Jessica Schaffer; grandkids, Isabelle, Collin, Josie, Whitney, Paisley, Sawyer, Cecilia, Avery, Sydney; grand pups, Liberty and Finn; and sisters, Diane (Gary) Wallace, Dawn Wheeler.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Ardis Wheeler; sister, Cheryl Gassel; and son, Jon Schaffer.

In remembrance of Brian, family asks that contributions be made to American Legion post 219 of Fife Lake.

A Celebration of Life will start at 11am and continue until 3pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at The Stoneridge Barn, 620 West Wexford Ave, Buckley MI 49620
