Carl D. Oatley Jr, died on June 10th 2022. Born in Old Mission Peninsula on January 24th 1930. He married the love of his life Inez E. (Jones) Oatley on July 4, 1953. Carl was a 5th generation native of Traverse City.

Carl worked hard all of his life. He was a jack of all trades and could take apart and fix anything. Retired from Cone Drive in 1978 after 28 years.

His family was a huge part of his life, and was loved dearly. He overcame a lot of physical hardships. His life was full of accomplishments, from trade school, racing cars, owning a restaurant, being a Carnie. He loved life and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. He loved to tell stories and would talk to anyone who would listen.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Inez; and his children, Robin (Bill)Carson, Mark (Diane) and Deborah (Bill) Stall; 6 grandkids; 5 great-grandkids and brother, brother Richard (Helen) Oatley.

Carl and Inez were both servants of Jehovah and loved to talk about him. He had a beautiful hope of a resurrection, and seeing all of his family that had fallen away in death.
