Cinda Lou Lamie, 76, of Traverse City, died Sunday, April 21, 2024 surrounded by loving family after long-term health complications. She was born on February 1, 1948 in Traverse City the daughter of George A. and Lucille (Hoch) Bonnell. She graduated from Traverse City Senior High.

Cinda married Jude Lamie on September 2, 1967 in Traverse City at St. Francis Catholic Church. She later attended Cosmetology School and after receiving her Cosmetology License she opened Cinda’s Styling Salon in Grawn. Cinda also owned Cinda’s Daycare in her home and loved the kids, which she treated as if they were her own. She was a Mortgage Processor with Republic Bank and Northwestern Bank.

She and Jude were long-term members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and later became members of St. Mary’s of Hannah Church.

She enjoyed traveling and spending the winter in Bradenton, Florida with Jude. Cinda volunteered at the Munson Medical Center gift shop. She was in a bowling league, loved her Bunco girls night out, playing cards, games, boating, spending time on her pontoon and snowmobiling in her younger years. She enjoyed having family and friends over for gatherings. Cinda loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Cinda is survived by her husband, Jude Lamie; sons, Timothy (Stephanie) Lamie and Donald Lamie; grandchildren, Lauren (Alex), Ally (Stephen), Landon (Rachael), Tia (Tim), Mikey, Brice (Casey) and Johanna (Tanner); great-grandsons, Henry and Luka; siblings, Marcia (Dennis) Strandell, George Bonnell, Debra (Larry) Prachar, Vicki (Roger) Williams and Gregg (Christie) Bonnell and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Patti Bonnell.

Contributions may be made in Cinda’s honor to St. Mary’s of Hannah Church.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 noon, Friday May 3, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hannah Church, Kingsley. A luncheon will follow.
