Claire Thompson

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Claire Austin Thompson of Sault Ste. Marie on November 24th 2020. Austin was born in Rudyard, MI on August 15, 1937 to Claire and Lillian Thompson and was the cherished husband to Wanda Elaine Thompson and loving father of Sally, Rodney, Timothy and Janice.

Austin will be missed by his grandchildren, Nathyn and Casey, Ryan and Sarena, Richard and Lourdes, Kory and Jackie, Brandon and Svetlana, Jada and many great grandchildren. He will be equally missed by his siblings, Dorris, Cathy, Lois, Judy, Donny and Ronny.

He will also be reunited with his other two siblings, Barbara and Margaret and "Auntie Edna"; mother and father, Claire and Lillian who will be very happy to see him in heaven with them.

Austin became known as Mr. November for his passion for deer hunting and loved spending time at "The Shack", which was a hunting cabin at Rudyard MI, where many great memories were made with family and friends.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
