Cora (Pobuda) Waukazoo

Cora Anne (Rogers) passed away Saturday, Feb 25, 2012, after a prolonged illness.

Cora was born Jan. 30, 1938, in Detroit, to Robert Rogers and Irma Knack. The family relocated to Northport, where Cora spent her childhood and graduated from Northport High School. She married John Pobuda and they raised eight children.

Surviving are John Pobuda, Donald (Debra) Pobuda, Donna (Robert) Bumgardner, David (Kelly) Pobuda, Shirley (Robert) Phenix, James (Tara) Pobuda, and William Pobuda; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Her parents; two brothers, Robert and Thomas; a daughter, Patricia; and two husbands, John Pobuda and Jonnie Waukazoo, preceded her in death.

Cora’s passion was her family and her beautiful flowerbeds. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Please celebrate Cora’s life at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012 at The Church of Christ, 3250 Rennie St., Traverse City. The family will greet friends starting at noon.
