Cynthia Gibson

Cindy Gibson, a kind and caring person who loved her family and friends, peacefully went to be with her savior Jesus Christ on August 7, 2011.

Cindy was born July 9, 1947 in Detroit. She married Arthur Gibson III in 1966. One of her joys was having her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren around her. She loved traveling with Art around the United States. Her hobbies were quilting, sewing, scrap booking, and reading scripture. Her church family at the Church of the Living God energized her.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Helen Banish. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Art; her sister Elaine Roberts; her children Alexandria Campbell, Valeria Thomas, and Arthur IV; her grandchildren Jonathan Campbell; Arthur V, Brendan, and Caitlyn Gibson; Derrick and Cynthia Thomas; and her great-grandchildren Isaiah and Landon Campbell She was preceded in death by her great-grandson Dillon Campbell.

A memorial service will be held in Traverse City at the Church of the Living God, August 21,12:30 P.M; where the family will greet friend starting at 12:00 noon.
