Dan Allan Hallett was born on October 26, 1948, in Manistee, Michigan, to Clarence and Florence Hallett. He was born after WWII and his father was a veteran of WWII. Dan was 74 years old when he died. He is predeceased by his children, Michelle Ruth Hallett and Michael Dan Hallett as well as his father, Clarence Herbert Hallett and his mother, Florence Harriet Slack. Dan is survived by his daughter, Deborah Lynn Strand, and his granddaughter, Zoe Lynn Strand.

To honor Dan, we will be holding a Memorial on May 6th at 11:00 AM at Rocklake Bible Methodist Church 8101 North Pine Grove Rd. Vestaburg, MI 48891. We invite all to attend and remember and share stories of Dan’s life.

Dan enjoyed reading books throughout his life and was remembered reading the newspaper in the morning and completing crossword puzzles. Dan was a self-taught guitarist and enjoyed playing and singing in church. Dan was loyal to his family, to his Faith and had a sentimental nature. Dan enjoyed teasing, especially his granddaughter, Zoe. Dan spent many hours with family collecting antiques and traveling.

Early in life Dan worked in the woods and on many occasions enjoyed sitting in the woods, fishing or foraging for mushrooms. Dan was a hard working truck driver and later school bus mechanic. Dan will be missed.
