Dane Ramussen

Dane Adrian Rasmussen, born August 21, 1953, was taken from us much too soon on January 19, 2022.

Dane’s greatest gift was that he cherished everyone around him even when he was crabby. He would shoot you that side smile that let you know everything was okay.

His greatest passion in life was boating, but more specifically sailing. Whether he was sailing around West Bay with his friends and family, or enjoying the outdoors camping, he was just happy to be surrounded by people he loved.

Dane spent many years as a master craftsman creating custom wood floors. Once that time in his life was over, he spent many years restoring and refinishing boats to create works of art.

Dane’s greatest joy was his son Keir. He found great solitude over the years passing down his many pieces of knowledge and character to help shape his mind into the man he became. Dane was as proud as a dad could be of such an amazing human being.

Dane leaves behind his only son, Keir Rasmussen, younger sister Kristine (Rasmussen) Featherstone, and brother Hans Rasmussen.

Danes last wish is to be loaded into a firework and shot into the sky over West Bay. This will be happening sometime this summer.
