David Behm

David John Behm, 58, of Manistee, passed away at Munson Medical Center Sunday, October 7, 2012, with his wife and step-daughters by his side. David was born March 24, 1954 in Manistee, son of the late Paul Henry Sr. and Frances Ida (Peterson) Behm. He graduated from Manistee High School, and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army with an honorable discharge in August of 1978. He married Rhonda (Gray), his beloved wife, on October 21, 2006. David is survived by his wife, Rhonda, and two stepdaughters, Heather Gray of Grand Rapids, and Savannah Delmont of Freeland; and one granddaughter, Avarey Roberts; his sister, Christy (Behm) and Bill Gutowski of Ford Lake; brothers, Greg Behm of Sault Ste. Marie, and Paul Jr. and JoAnne Behm of Newberry; mother and father in law, Marion and Charles Gray, Sr., of St. Cloud, Florida; brother in laws, Charles Gray Jr., Donald Gray, Fred and Kim Gray; sister in law, LouAnn Luptowski and Lawrence Monlina; nieces, Julie and Mickey Finan, Cindy and Pat Welsh, Karen and Matt Pomeroy, Valerie and Roger Anderson, Melissa and Jay Hardebeck, Laura and John Carter, Margaux Behm, nephews Greg Behm Jr., Brian Behm, and Andy Behm; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Sr. and Frances Ida, and his sister, Glenda and Ken Larson. David had a love for travel and adventure and spent time in Hawaii and Australia. He was a member of Manistee National Golf and Resort where he enjoyed playing golf with his wife and family. He will be sadly missed. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be at the Manistee National Golf and Resort on October 26th, at 1:00pm. Family will receive friends at noon until the time of service at 1:00. A luncheon will follow in the club house.
