David Priest

David Howe Priest went Home to His Heavenly Father on Monday, April 19, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

David was born May 9, 1947 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Margaret Jane (Lichtenauer) and Raymond Ward Priest. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1965. He served in the US AIR FORCE from 1966-1974 as a Finance and Accounting Supervisor. His travels took him to the Philippines, Saigon, Hawaii and several other bases in the US.

After being Honorably Discharged from the Air Force, David worked in sales and in the Insurance and Mortgage business. After "Retiring" David worked part-time as a Patient Transport for Munson Medical Center.

On April 20, 1994, David accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

David is survived by his loving wife, Sue Bowers Yemmans; children, Sheri (Mike) Chatterson of Sparta, Mich., Kyle (Klarissa Wetzig) Priest, Kalkaska

Jimmy Priest of Traverse City, Clint (Sarah Palmer-Allis) of Cedar, Nicole (Bryan) Burns, Lake Ann, Tevin Yemmans, Traverse City, Mich.; grandchildren who were the light of his life, Morgan, Mike and Riley Chatterson, Nova Priest , Natalyia Kaiser and Brody and Keira Burns. His faithful, dog Auggie. David never knew a Stranger! David's faith in Jesus Christ was evident to all he met. His love was for Christ and Family.

A Memorial service honoring David’s life will be held on May 1, 2021 at 1pm, Fresh Wind Community Church, 18201 Honor Highway, Interlochen, Mich 49643
