Debra Cebula

Debra Coleen Cebula 64, of Traverse City, died August 1, 2021.

She was born August 30, 1956 in Traverse City the daughter of Richard Stanley and Ethelyn Jean (Miehlke) Cebula. She was raised by her father and step-mother, Donna Cebula.

Debra loved eagles, flowers and animals; especially her dog Winchester. Playing bingo, reading, crossword puzzles and playing games on her phone brought her much pleasure. Debra loved her daily phone calls so she could talk with her kids. She enjoyed camping, canoeing, mushroom hunting and her biggest dream was to travel the world. Debra was a dedicated volunteer with the 4H groups and BMX racing mom at Grand Traverse County BMX raceway.

She is survived by her children, David Fewins, Mike (Tiffany) Fewins, Joey Fewins and Sam (Duane) Magee; bonus son, Jeffrey Baynton; grandchildren, Ashley, Dawson, Ciara, Taylor, Jackson, Gavin, Lilly and James; great-grandchildren, Alice, Freya, and Athena; siblings, Nancy (Michael) Brooks, Kathleen (Tim) Kerby, Lucy Augustson and Richard “Dick” and (Gerladine Deany) Cebula II; and many nieces and nephews. She was a second mom to many of her children’s friends. She is also survived by her granddogs, Remi, Benelli, Nova, Sulley, Boo and George.

Debra is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ethelyn Cebula; stepmother, Donna Marie Cebula and her aunt, Mary; who was like a second mom.

Memorial contributions may be made in Debra's honor to the Grand Traverse County BMX, 3625 Nimrod Rd., Traverse City, Michigan 49685 or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

An informal gathering will be held 11am to noon, Friday, August 6, 2021 at Life Story Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Grawn. A luncheon will follow at Blair Township Park, Grawn.
