Diane "Dino" Kay Speas, loving wife of 32 wonderful years went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning December 18, 2022. She graduated in 1973 from Saint Francis High School in Traverse City, MI.

Diane was the daughter of John and Marilyn Heiges and sister of Patrice O’Rourke who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving husband and companion Wayne; along with her nephew, Patrick O’Rourke; aunt, Phyllis Babel, and her four wonderful daughters (cousins).

Diane retired from the Leelanau County Sheriff's Department of Corrections after 31 years of faithful service. She enjoyed many indoor and outdoor activities which included painting, stain glass art, quilting, knitting and other things. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and clay target shooting.

Her favorite summer destination was their cabin on lake Matinenda in Ontario Canada. It was a place she went to faithfully from her childhood on. She also enjoyed mushroom picking and hunting rocks in our beautiful Northern Michigan.

She had a solid testimony of loving the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart and was a faithful attender at Zion Baptist Church.

There will be a memorial service on February 3rd, 2023 at Zion Baptist Church located at 6563 East Harry's Road, Traverse City MI. The family will receive visitors at 6:30 and the service will start at 7:00 P.M. There will be a time of fellowship and refreshments in the church hall following the service. Any memorial contributions can be given to the church for use in the Lord’s work.
