Donald B. Weiselberg age 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 26th, 2025. Don was born September 10th, 1931, to LeRoy and Pearl Weiselberg in Detroit and moved to Traverse City as a child. He graduated from Traverse City High School in 1950.

Don honorably served in the US Navy as a medic and surgical assistant doing two tours on the USS Salem in the Mediterranean. Upon returning home, he married Nancy L. Elder, his surviving spouse.

Don lived in Traverse working with his father and brother in the family business, L.F Weiselberg and Sons Builders who specialized in custom homes. Clients came mostly by word of mouth. Don was also a founding member and builder of the Wesleyan Methodist Church which would later be changed to Bayview Wesleyan Church. He was active, serving as song leader, trustee, bus ministry and board member. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Quartet which sang at churches in the north and occasionally sang on TV.

Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides deer he enjoyed the many Pheasant hunting trips to South Dakota with his brother. He loved Bluegill fishing and tackling a stream for some nice brookies. Don's priorities were always his faith in Christ, his wife of almost 70 years, and his family.

Don is survived by his children Melissa Dodge (Kraig), Lisa Weiselberg, Bob Weiselberg (Jo Ann), Al Weiselberg (Sharon); five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Don was proceeded in death by a daughter Susan; his brother, LeRoy Jr.; and parents LeRoy and Pearl.

The family would like to thank Medilodge GTC for the care they provided for Don's final days.

A celebration of life service will be held June 7th at Bayview Wesleyan church with visitation at 10:00 and the service at 11:00 with luncheon to follow.

Memorial contributions can be sent to Woodside Wesleyan Church, Lake Ann.
