Donna Durga

Donna Marie Durga, 91, of Frankfort, formerly of Traverse City, died Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at The Maples in Frankfort.

She was born at home on February 10, 1935 in Fife Lake the daughter of Grant and Alma (Blue) Spaulding. As a small child her family moved to Traverse City where she attended Traverse City High School.

Donna married Robert James Durga Sr. in Traverse City; they were married 66 years. She was a stay-at-home Mom. Donna was a Secretary most of her working life, retiring from Morse Hahnenberg Moving and Storage.

She loved being with her family, enjoying family outings and would never miss one outing. Donna was an avid reader and enjoyed her Friday Night Bowling league. She was always cheerful, sweet and handled stress very well. Her grandchildren remember “Grandma always had a smile.” She was the life of the party at the The Maples.

Donna is survived by her son, Robert Durga of Arcadia; daughter, Dianna (Tom) Hepner; grandchildren, Grant, Nichole, Jennifer, Andrew, Chris, Wayne, Robbie, Rick, Randy, Tammy and Tiffany; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Alma; husband, Robert Sr.; son, Steven Durga and daughter, Connie Winn.

A private burial for Donna and her husband, Robert will be at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in the Spring.
