Edward Swisher

Edward Sheldon Swisher, 87, of Traverse City, died Monday, January 20, 2025. He was born on April 12, 1937 in Thompsonville the son of William and Florence Elaine (Sheldon) Swisher.

He held multiple roles with Consumers Energy before his retirement after 30 years.

Edward enjoyed hunting and camping.

He is survived by his sons, Ken (Tammy) Swisher, Darrell (Brenda) Swisher and Ray Swisher; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Ron (Audrey) Swisher and his loving long-haired Dachshund, Ernie.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Swisher and brothers and sisters.

The family’s preference is the American Cancer Society for Memorial Contributions.

An informal visitation will be held 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Life Story Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens with his wife, Carolyn.
