Francis “Frank” Partee, 71, of Traverse City, died Monday, June 13, 2022. He was born on June 25, 1950, in Seattle, Washington, the son of William Bentley and Marye (Morris) Partee.

Frank retired as a Mental Health Professional for the State of Washington. He served as a docent at Dennos Museum, and as a volunteer with Hospice of Michigan and the Adult Literacy Program of Macomb County.

Frank was a loving husband, stepfather and grandfather. He enjoyed music, particularly blues, reading from his 1,000+ book library, preparing wonderful creations in the kitchen, especially his sweet treats, garage sales, spending time with family and friends, and making (funny?) jokes.

Frank is survived by his best friend and wife of 21 years, Gail Partee, stepdaughter Julie Green, daughter-in-law Susan Green, granddaughter Rosa Green, sister Risa McFarland, nieces Starr McFarland, Italia Babcock, Francesca Owen, Chantelle Fitzgerald, April Smith, Laura Garcia, and Rebecca Hill.

He is predeceased in death by his parents, brother Gerald Partee, sister Laura Partee, and brother-in-law Dan McFarland.

RIP you sweet, smart, funny music man.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Father Fred Foundation, American Heart Association or Gift of Life Michigan.
