Gary Lehner Swartz 70 of Littleton, Colorado died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the home of his daughter in Traverse City, Michigan.
Gary was born on November 3, 1941 in Kendallville, Indiana the son of the late John L. and June E. (Hart) Swartz. He graduated from Kendallville High School in 1961. Gary was an Eagle Scout and an assistant Scout leader.
Gary was owner of the GLS Construction in Littleton. He was a master carpenter. He loved wood working and had a passion as a mechanic working on his cars. He rebuilt his gold 1963 Station Wagon which earned him the name “the Golden Dragon”.
Gary had a dream to own a ranch with horses. When he moved to Oklahoma that dream came true with his Chase a Dream Ranch. He had a great love for animals.
Gary is survived by his daughters, Robyn (Scott) Wares of Littleton and Phyllinda (Duane) Painter of Traverse City, grandchildren, Amanda, Dustin, Trevor, Kendall, Alexa, Gwendalyn, Delaney and Miranda and sister, Sharon Pfeiffer and her two children of Ligonier Indiana, and his cat and companion Boots.
Cremation has taken place. Gary's family will remember him privately. Memorial Contributions may be made to a hospice organization of your choice.
