Glenn Davis

Glenn Irwin Davis, 83 a lifelong resident of Traverse City, went home to the Lord on November 3, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.

Glenn was born on May 15, 1940, in Traverse City. The son of Martin, “Marty” Royal and Margaret Dorothy Davis.

Glenn graduated from Traverse City Central High school in 1958. Glenn worked at the Michigan Theater in Traverse City as a page, where he met the love of his life, Ruby. They were married at Central United Methodist Church in 1962. Ruby and Glenn enjoyed long weekends of road trips to different areas of Michigan. Ruby passed unexpectedly in November 2008.

Glenn was a Supervisor and Forklift driver with Tru Fit Trouser from 1989-2006. He then went to work for CRM as a Forklift Driver and Local delivery until his retirement. He also worked for Western Union. Glenn was liked by all who met him.

Glenn was a member of Grawn United Methodist Church and was very active in the life of the church. He loved to play Euchre, he had a great sense of humor, and a heart of gold. He liked to help church family get to appointments and help wherever he could.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Ruby M. Davis, his parents, Marty and Margaret, and brother Royal.

Glenn is survived by his sister, Dorothy (Don) Lint of Traverse City, sister in-law, Barbara Davis, and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 26th at 2PM in the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Pastor Irene Starr, officiating. Memorial donations can be made to Grawn United Methodist Church, PO Box 62, Grawn MI .
